Carrier has announced the dedication of one home which its employees helped to build with Habitat for Humanity® of Greater Indianapolis. The particular home also has Carrier cooling and heating products and is one of the various projects that the company carried out this year with the Habitat organization.

Carrier has been an active supporter of the Habitat for Humanity program for almost 20 years now and the company continuously donates cooling and heating products, essential financial contributions, and many employee volunteer hours. The company’s employees spent hundreds of hours constructing the Habitat for Humanity home outside of Indianapolis throughout last summer and early fall.

According to David Meyers, Carrier’s Vice President for Sales, “Carrier has been a long-time supporter of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis, providing not only equipment for the homes, but also employee volunteers to physically work on the builds. We have been experts in making people comfortable in their homes for more than a century, and building homes for some of our community’s deserving residents is a wonderful opportunity to share our expertise.”

On the other hand, Jim Morris, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis said, “As our longest-standing corporate supporter, each year we’re indebted to Carrier’s continued commitment to provide the life-changing opportunity for low-income families to purchase and own simple, quality, affordable homes. Each year, Carrier provides hundreds of hardworking volunteers, quality heating and cooling systems, and generous financial support to help advance the Habitat for Humanity mission to build homes, communities, and hope.”

In January 2015, Carrier cooperated with Habitat for Humanity of Los Angeles on more projects. The company donated a conventional cooling and heating system with installation to a home that month. It also gave two ductless systems to several homes built by engineering and architecture students in fall.

Carrier is the world leader in heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration solutions, and the company continuously build new products and services with proven innovation that give its customers efficiency and comfort.
