PHCC-QSC New Executive Director Announced

The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC) – National Association’s Quality Service Contractors (QSC) has announced that Lawrence Leonard, CAE, CMP, has joined the organization as its incoming Executive Director. He will replace Charlie Wallace who is retiring.

“We are excited to have Lawrence join our team, and he will be meeting QSC members in person on March 17-19 at QSC’s Power Meeting in Daytona Beach, Florida,” said PHCC – National Association Executive Vice President Michael Copp.

On the other hand, QSC Chair Bob Macca said, “We are impressed by Lawrence’s many success in developing the right types of strategies to achieve organizational excellence, which is what QSC is all about. We look forward to working with him in the future.”

Leonard has many years of experience managing specific activities and some of the most notable are his experience with the Association Management Company Institute and theConvention Industry Council. He also has a lot of experience in managing volunteer activities, products, general business affairs of trade associations and professional societies, programs, and services. Aside from these, he also directed the meeting planning activities and conference of a large homebuilding trade association.

The incoming Executive Director of PHCC – QSC has earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designations and has skills and qualifications for association management system.

According to its website, QSC was established in 1994 and functions as a self-supporting business unit of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors National Association. The organization maintains its own budget, project activities, and Board of Trustees and all funds generated from its membership remain with the organization and are only used for programs or activities approved by the membership.

To date, the organization is attracting memberships fro beyond its immediate industries due to its fulfillment of needs that are unavailable in other associations. Residential service contractors that include electricians, plumbers, and HVAC get the business education and trade association support they need from QSC. The organization’s contractor business system and peer to peer contractor support make the association a favorable choice for HVAC, HVACR, Electrical, Plumbing, and Construction.
